The Institute of Gerontology is located on the left bank of the Neckar near Bismarckplatz.

On the Bergheim campus, the Institute is located at Bergheimerstr. 20. Building 4141 has several entrances: coming from Bismarckplatz, it is the first entrance to the building. The Institute of Gerontology is located in the rear extension and extends over two floors: the seminar rooms and student lounges are on the ground floor, while the secretariat and staff offices are on the first floor.

Directions

By train:

You can reach the Institute of Gerontology in a few minutes by public transport from Heidelberg main station. The Institute is located between the stops ‘Bismarckplatz’ and ‘Altes Hallenbad’:

Bus lines:

  • Line 32 in the direction of Universitätsplatz, stop: Altes Hallenbad.
  • Line 33 in the direction of Universitätsplatz, stop: Bismarckplatz.
  • Line 34 in the direction of Ziegelhausen, bus stop: Bismarckplatz.
  • Line 35 in the direction of Neckargemünd, stop: Bismarckplatz.

Tram lines:

  • Line 5 in the direction of Bismarckplatz, stop: Bismarckplatz.
  • Line 21 in the direction of Hans-Thoma-Platz, stop: Altes Hallenbad.
  • Line 22 in the direction of Bismarckplatz, stop: Bismarckplatz.

By car:

Via the A5/A656 (Frankfurt/Darmstadt - Karlsruhe/Basel), exit at the Heidelberg or Heidelberg/Schwetzingen motorway junction. The car parks P0, P1, P14 and P15 are located near our institute. The current capacities of the car parks can be viewed on the website of the city of Heidelberg.
